Oculus Pentacam HR

The Oculus goal is to provide eye care professionals with the very best diagnostic technology available to allow them to improve their patients’ vision, health and happiness.

In 2005, Oculus launched the HR Pentacam. This device is the continuation and further refinement of the popular and well-known Pentacam.

The Oculus Pentacam has enabled physicians to analyze the anterior segment with an accuracy that was previously not available, thus permitting them to diagnose conditions and diseases with greater confidence and repeatability in less time.

The Oculus Pentacam HR is a result of Oculus’ dedication to improve product quality while living up to the Oculus motto, “We focus on progress”.

The Oculus Pentacam HR has an improved optic design and a high resolution 1.45 Mega Pixel Camera.

Primary Advantages:

• Crisper and sharper Scheimpflug pictures allowing excellent IOL and phakic IOL implant imaging
• More precise presentation of the corneal layers
• More precise presentation of the corneal layers
• Cornea imaging via a fine scan produced by 100 scans in less than 2 seconds for improved accuracy
• An active, shifting fixation target to allow patients with high ametropia an easy fixation.

Features:

A Complete Diagnosis In Just The Bat Of An Eye
Within a mere second the Oculus Pentacam HR supplies you with precise diagnostic data on the entire anterior eye segment. The degree of cataract is made visible by the light scattering properties of the eye lens. Measurement of the anterior and posterior corneal surfaces supplies the true total refractive power of the cornea. The data on the posterior surface gives you just the assistance you need for early keratoconus detection.

The rotating scan supplies more data points in the centre of the cornea. A supplementary pupil camera corrects for eye movements during the examination. Unlike conventional topography systems the Oculus Pentacam HR measures true elevation data rather than just curvature values.

High Resolution
With its brighter and optimized optics the Oculus Pentacam HR offers you brilliant image quality. The resolution of its images is five times that of the Pentacam Basic or Pentacam Classic models, enabling the Oculus Pentacam HR to deliver impressive representations of IOLs and phakic IOLs. Corneal irregularities as well as injuries, implantations and refractive interventions are made amazingly visible. Additional imaging modes such as the cornea fine scan serve to reveal intracorneal pathologies.

Fully Equipped
The Oculus Pentacam HR is equipped with a software package that leaves nothing to be desired. In addition to the basic software you receive software packages for refractive surgery and cataracts, PNS (Pentacam Nucleus Staging) and cataract analysis, the Holladay Report and the contact lens fitting module. Two software licenses are also included so that you can integrate the Oculus Pentacam HR into your patient management system.
