The J&J Vision (Johnson & Johnson Vision) Intralase iFS Advanced Femtosecond Laser takes refractive surgery — and more specifically, LASIK flap creation — to a whole new standard of speed and control. The Intralase iFS is designed to deliver biomechanically engineered flaps that can be customized for every individual cornea, and includes comprehensive IntraLase Enabled Keratoplasty (IEK) and ring-channel formation capabilities.
Capable of creating a corneal flap during the LASIK procedure in less than 10 seconds, the Intralase iFS Advanced Femtosecond Laser’s unique inverted bevel-in side cut angle is designed to provide a virtually effortless flap lift, increase post-operative flap adhesion and enhance the biomechanical stability of the post-LASIK cornea. With full customization capabilities, the Intralase iFS also produces an elliptical flap to enhance surgical options and includes IntraLase-Enabled Keratoplasty (IEK).
Additional features of the 5th generation IntraLase iFS Advanced Femtosecond Laser:
- Higher repetition rate
- Features tighter spot separation; lower energy
- Includes a high-resolution digital video microscope
- Offers a new contemporary user interface, keyboard and touch screen
- Features an ergonomic design for maximum surgeon comfort
